"In the Field" Photography Lessons
"In the Field" photography Lessons - Nikon DSLR
For general beginning photography classes. Dave Hatton recommends Phoenix Center of the Arts for photography classes. Generally taught by Kirby Soderberg, you can expect to learn the basics of the big 3 - ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed. You also learn about composition and lighting. Kirby keeps things simple over the course of the six-week course, and it is only $178. Once you get a handle on using the manual mode (not to be confused with manual focus), you are ready for some more advanced classes (which he also teaches.
Once you are ready to get out into the field, that is where I come in. Or, if you just prefer that one-on-one experience on your own schedule, I can certainly help. Why do I only teach for Nikon? Simply because I do not know where to find all of the functions for other DSLR cameras. I have only ever used a Nikon, and I do not want to diminish your experience by teaching you something I do not know about. When I learn, I will certainly add them.
My fees are simple - $75 an hour on location within a 50 mile radius of downtown Phoenix.
